Makeup Artistry

 Since 1994 Melisa has become a highly respected makeup artist in the community, exclusively using the Motives line of cosmetics. 

She's won "Best Makeup Artist" multiple times in the Union's annual "Best of the Best" community vote.
 

• Cosmetics Trainer for Multiple Cosmetology Schools in Central Valley and Nor Cal

• Trainer of the Year with world renowned cosmetics company Motives

• Trained the trainers for Motives Cosmetics

• 1 of only 3 people in the company to win the Motives Success Quest

• The ONLY one in the company to win 10 consecutive Motives Challenge Awards!

Volunteer Work

Through her work as Volunteer Director for the Tapestry Network of Nevada County, director of  her own community service group M3 Queens, and as a board member with Salvation Army, Melisa has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local non profit organizations.​
 

• In just 24 months, Melisa raised $26,000  for local non profits 

• She won Grass Valley Downtown Associations "Volunteer of the Year"- twice

• Nevada County voted Melisa "Best Volunteer" in the annual Best Of the Best vote - also twice

• Through M3 Queens, Melisa donated over 1,000 service hours a year to local non profits & chambers 

• Melisa's humanitarian efforts have been recognized on News 10, Good Morning Sac & Channel 13

• Won the West Coast's "Humanitarian of the Year" award

• Nominated for "Citizen of the Year" by Nevada County

• On the board for Salvation Army 

• Worked for Paint the Town Pink and Toys for Tots

• For 10 years has been an integral part of a Fundraiser that provides Free/Low-Cost Mammograms

• Worked for IBM & their business partners as Marketing Director in the late 80s to early 9os 

• In 1994 Opened New Temple Ministries (the beginning of what is now M3 Mall)

• Professional Coordinator with Market America and Shop.com

• 3-time Winner of the Market America Chairmans Challenge 

• Nominated for Pacer County's "Business Woman of the Year" award 

 

Pageants with a Purpose

Melisa's pageant life began in 2009, when she earned the titles "Ms. Greater Sacramento", "Mrs. Northern California", and "West Coast Humanitarian". Now, as a pageant director herself, she puts on two pageants per year that are focused on community service, fundraising for nonprofits, and volunteer work.
